DESIGN: ETEC 544 PROJECT
The project that my group and I worked on was creating instructional materials for my AP Calculus AB students on the concept of Volume of solid with known cross section. Below are my work for the Analysis, Design, Development, and Formative Evaluation phase of the instructional design process.
ANALYSIS
My group and I wrote an Analysis Report that gathered information about who are target audience is, what content is to be provided, and how one will assess the effectiveness of the instruction. Our goal was to create educational materials for AP Calculus AB students on Volume of Solids with known cross section. The methods that can be used in the analysis are people items, mining the literature, and/or documentary recovery. For our analysis report's methods, we used people items and documentary recovery. In the report, we also included what we found and what implications they have for our lesson.
DESIGN
My group and I wrote a Design Report that included our learning objective, outline of the content to be provided, our chosen classroom delivery system, and a flow chart of the process of our lesson.
DEVELOPMENT
In ETEC 544, my group and I developed a facilitator guide and all instructional materials for the lesson on Volume of Solids with known cross section.
IMPLEMENTATION
We did not go through the implementation process. However, my group and I did do a Beta Test of our lesson and instructional materials. The Beta Test was tested with a population with similar background as our target audience and gave us feedback about how to revise our lesson and materials.
EVALUATION
In this course we did not go through the evaluation phase.
